Kevin is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on environmental, real estate, business, and construction law. He represents property owners, developers, operators, property managers, business owners, and contractors and helps them evaluate the risks and navigate the complexities associated with commercial litigation. Kevin is a practical litigator and understands litigation is a tool that should be used strategically and cost-effectively, but he has the experience to support his clients through trial when necessary.
In his environmental practice, Kevin represents clients in matters involving contaminated property and Superfund sites. He has experience negotiating and litigating cost recovery matters, negotiating cleanup agreements, access rights, and allocation agreements, negotiating consent decrees with federal and state agencies, securing insurance coverage for environmental liabilities, and obtaining regulatory closure for contaminated sites.
Kevin’s real estate, business, and construction law practice typically involves working with clients to evaluate claims and liabilities and guiding them through the courts, arbitration, or mediation. This includes property transaction disputes, lease disputes, business operation and acquisition disputes, and construction contract disputes. Kevin’s real estate practice also often intersects with his environmental practice and involves negotiating contractual protections in transactions for contaminated properties. He also has experience negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, property management agreements, and easements.
Kevin began his legal career practicing in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex focusing on civil litigation where he gained invaluable experience handling matters from the outset of pre-litigation settlement negotiations through trial.
